Short description

How to reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere with a change in lifestyle habits.

Define the problem

The problem we have noticed is the growing need for electricity. In addition to the main problem, there is an additional problem,
and that is the mobility of the device, ie the increasing use of batteries in all devices.

With the increase in electricity use, other problems arise, and one of the most common is the emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere
(eg CO2), which occurs as a product of electricity production in standard ways (thermal and hydro power plants)

In our work, we would focus on reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere through examples so that our local community can achieve this.

Which groups of people are affected by this problem?

In short, we could say that this is a global problem, since electricity is one of the basic energy sources that drives today's society and
its progress. Of course, this problem affects individuals, the local community, but also the governments of each country. Here we will focus on the applicability
in the area of the town of Ivanec, which according to the 2011 census has 29 settlements with a total of 4097 households. Also, in addition to the residents
of the city area, the problem affects all persons who travel to our region, or use the state road D35 in the length of 46 km, which passes through the city.

Who is responsible for this problem?

As the problem affects different groups of people, so the responsibility for solving it goes from individuals to governments. Apart from
global responsibility, the primary responsibility here relates to the population of the urban area.

How big is the problem?

The problem is extremely big and difficult to solve because on the one hand we have the desire of individuals and society for progress and
a better, simpler and more comfortable life, while on the other hand we have the inertia of rulers and individuals who are not ready to take necessary
steps. and that it needs to be addressed. Unfortunately, not solving the problem affects not only people but also the entire flora and fauna of the
planet.

Since we cannot influence on a global level, we focused on solving problems in the local community, and through solving this problem we
want to encourage all residents of our city and the city government to a different approach to living habits, and thus improve living conditions and
preserve natural balance through reducing CO2 emissions.

What is blocking the current solution of the problem?

In our opinion, there are currently several obstacles that stand in the way of solving this problem:

a) Lack of information, ie the need for additional education of individuals, local and regional communities and all the ruling people in the
country.

b) Lack of financial resources needed to solve the problem, It is necessary to improve existing technology, make it more efficient and
develop new and better technology.

c) Lack of planned investment, ie thinking ahead through investments in long-term more cost-effective, energy efficient and
environmentally friendly devices.

Why did you choose this problem, and why is it important to solve it?

Because by changing ourselves, our habits, we can influenceothers to start changing. And the seemingly small steps that we as individuals
can take will eventually become great for our planet, its preservation and the preservation of flora and fauna, which will ultimately affect the preservation
of the human species.

Because if we destroy our planet, our flora and fauna, we will eventually destroy humanity.

How does the chatbot solve this problem?

We envisioned Chatbot as an informational and educational tool that can be used at multiple levels from the local to the global level to
inform and educate individuals, organizations and governments about some steps they could take to reduce non-renewable electricity consumption and encourage
production and use of renewable energy sources and thus directly contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and thus save the planet for future generations.
