Climate change is a big problem today. Many people do not even realize how big this problem is. The consequences of climate change are enormous and affect all people on this planet. Global warming is one of the consequences of these changes. Glaciers are melting and penguins and polar bears are becoming more and more endangered species. Sea levels are rising over the years and are getting higher with each passing day. At first, this increase is not even noticeable, but when you look at the sea level 20 years ago and today the difference is big. Sea level rise in the last 7 years has averaged 3 millimeters per year. Although it sounds a little now, imagine how much it will grow during your lifetime, but we must take into account that this average increase will still grow and reach 5 and 6 and even more millimeters per year. Many people will have to move from their homes to continental areas. In addition to global warming and rising sea levels, air pollution is one of the major problems. In larger cities and larger industrial centers and areas, air quality is catastrophic. Factories and cars emit exhaust fumes and pollute the air and atmosphere.
Consequences for northern and central Europe: increasing heat waves, forest fires, droughts.
Mediterranean area: droughts, fires, agricultural crops (olives, citrus fruits, vines ...) are not doing as well as before (reduced soil fertility)
Northern Europe: getting wetter, floods could become regular during winter
Urban areas: today 4 out of 5 Europeans live there, heat waves, floods, rising sea levels ...
Mortality is rising due to enormously high temperatures, and there are diseases associated with water pollution caused by climate change.
